Dear Amanda,

Words cannot even begin to express my gratitude to you for the incredible assistance you have rendered me in planning my promotion party for making Major in the US Army. I have never planned such an event, and I was quite intimidated at the thought of taking on such an undertaking. When it comes to finding a location, working with caterers, and contemplating how to turn the party into that incredible setting, well, I'm quite ignorant. I knew I needed help and I'm so grateful you came to the rescue.

My job requires much attention and involvement; I simply did not have the time to interface with so many different individuals to make this event come together. It was so refreshing to be able to turn to you for help. I appreciate how you strived to anticipate my questions and even provided answers to inquiries I did not even contemplate.
